Hi storycatchers! Here is my big announcement: I am releasing a light fantasy romance novella titled Eunmin and Hayoung Raise a Pet Baby Dragon. Coming very soon in the spring of 2026! 🐉
This is the official cover! The illustrator Giulia (@julsiji on Instagram) did a fabulous job capturing the two main characters! I love the mystical feel and the colors, and of course, the vibe of stumbling upon something unknown and exciting together.
Here is the blurb for you:
Eunmin and Hayoung have been best friends since their first year of high school. But ever since Hayoung’s coma, Eunmin has been longing for a time when they can get back to normal. In hopes of this, he plans a getaway to Hoengseong, where they will engage in a sports camp.
Once they start the camp, they stumble upon a mysterious egg. After taking it home, it promptly hatches and imprints on both Eunmin and Hayoung.
Together, on their vacation, the two young men must discover how to raise a baby dragon, at the same time navigating the feelings that are budding between them. But raising a baby dragon is tough work, especially when you’re discovering new things about the guy of your heart.
How does it sound? 🥚
I was inspired by romantasy titles that I’ve read recently, but also by the magical feeling of exploring the so-called outskirts. While in Seoul, I loved city life, but I also liked traveling out of the capital. Although I’ve never been to Hoengseong, I’ve been to someplace like it in South Korea. The dragon element was inspired by my favorite game of all time, MapleStory. 🍁 I hope that Eunmin and Hayoung will become your newest OTP! 🫰
